Does Montgomery Medical Clinic accept my insurance?
We accept a wide range of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Maryland state plans — including Aetna commercial plans, BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst), Cigna, UnitedHealthcare commercial plans, Medicare, Medicaid, Priority Partners, Amerigroup/Wellpoint, Maryland Physicians Care, Tricare, GEHA, Humana, and Johns Hopkins US Family Health. Do you accept Medicare and Medicaid in Gaithersburg, MD?
Yes. We accept Medicare and Maryland Medicaid, as well as Medicaid managed care plans such as Priority Partners, Amerigroup/Wellpoint, and Maryland Physicians Care. Aetna Better Health and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan are not accepted.
What if I don't have insurance?
We offer affordable self-pay rates for urgent care, primary care, and physical exams. Call (301) 208-2273 for current self-pay pricing before your visit — we'll give you a transparent quote upfront.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
For HMO-style plans including UnitedHealthcare commercial plans, Tricare, Priority Partners, Amerigroup/Wellpoint, Maryland Physicians Care, Medicaid, Medstar, CareFirst Community Health Plan, and Johns Hopkins US Family Health, a referral from your primary care physician may be required to see a specialty provider. Walk-in urgent care and primary care visits generally do not require a referral.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring a valid photo ID, your current insurance card, a list of current medications, and any referral paperwork if required by your plan.
Do you accept Tricare for military families?
Yes, we accept Tricare. A referral may be required depending on your Tricare plan — our front desk will verify before your visit.
How are co-pays handled at check-in?
Co-pays are collected at the time of check-in. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. We file insurance claims directly with your carrier after your visit.
Can my employer be billed directly for occupational health?
Yes — for pre-employment screenings, workers' compensation, drug testing, respirator fit tests, and corporate wellness programs, we bill your employer directly. See our Occupational Health page for details.
